Master Mechanic #44 2-1/8″ M7 Black Oxide Wire Gauge Drill Bit is a jobber length drill bit with a straight shank and a 135 split point that eliminates walking and provides quick starting. The bit is surface treated with a black oxide finish for abrasion resistance and improved chip flow. It is designed for precision hole sizing such as tapping threaded holes. Wire gauge diameters fall between fractional sizes for most precise hole sizes. Taps through sizes 1/4-28 require the use of wire gauge bits. The bit is carded.
